Old Building, Aitchison College
A side view of Aitchison College’s old building, photographed in 2020 just before the Covid lockdowns. The structure is noticeably asymmetrical, so the building reads differently from every angle. This view brings out the twin staircases and the parapet terrace that opens into the first floor verandah, all set against a dramatic Lahore sky. That tree on the right takes me back to the days when a brass plate hung from it and was used as a bell. I can still hear it, nearly 39 years on, from when my classes were in this building.
Available print size: 10.75in × 15in on 300 gsm matte fine art paper.
Note: Printed on natural white, acid free paper with a subtle texture and no OBAs, giving it a warmer tone and better resistance to yellowing over time. The texture adds a gentle sense of depth on matte paper.
Relevant to this: Pipal Trees, Aitchison College, Lahore.
