Gary Williamson (@swirly_magnolia) is a UK-based, registered blind photographer whose high contrast black and white street work leans minimalist – clean shapes, strong separation, and beautifully balanced compositions. He lost his sight to Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) yet shoots deliberately (often manual), relying on contrast and spatial memory rather than fine detail. His work and story have been profiled widely, including his own site and interviews, and he recently partnered with Sony on the World Sight Day “Through Their Lens” collection.
