Black and white photograph of a Lahore street where several men move past a decorated wall, while one older porter, blurred and bent under his boxes, carries the heaviest load.

The Ones We Barely See

A popular street of Lahore, a landmark, brick arches, a craft shop sign, woven plates, framed pictures hanging in careful rows. A wall that draws you in.

As we move away from the wall, layers of life are revealed. We see different men, in different postures, different lives. One sits, a few stroll past, and one, older and weaker, is bent under the weight of his responsibilities. He is the one who is the least visible to us.
