Fine Art Prints of Lahore

Most of my work so far has been in Lahore. Its streets, old facades and small in between spaces where I have learned to use a camera.

Over the last few years a small number of these photographs, and a few tablet drawn digital sketches based on my images, have started to feel right as prints rather than files on a screen. This page brings those together as fine art prints of Lahore, made at my home on archival paper with pigment inks.

I hope, if life permits, to slowly add other subjects and places to my work as well. For now, these prints are a reflection of where I stand today. These are prints I would be happy to live with on my own walls. That is the only test that matters here.

Why these prints

I do not do photography full time, but I care deeply about the craft, including making my own prints. These photographs are not casual snapshots. They are the result of walking the same routes, watching light at different times of day, and slowly learning how a street or a building feels in real life. These are simple, everyday life frames and, hopefully, scenes that let you feel as if you actually stand there.

Printed inhouse, start to finish
It would have been probably easier and simpler to send files to a lab or a fine art printing service in Lahore and call it a day. Instead, I chose the slower route. By keeping everything in house, every step from capture to final print is in my hands. You are not just buying an image of Lahore. You are getting the result of that entire chain of work.

A small, carefully chosen set
I am not trying to turn every photograph into a print. Only a small number of images make it here. Either because the light was right, or the moment stayed with me, or the scene represents something I keep coming back to in my head. I would rather offer a small collection of fine art prints of Lahore that mean something to me, than a long catalogue of images that simply look good on a screen.

Paper and printing

All current matte prints (A4 & A3 size) are made on Canson Infinity Series, Arches BFK Rives (Pure White) 310 gsm paper. For smooth and traditional darkroom style look, Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique (310 gsm) option is also availble for larger A2 prints. Baryta paper is especially well suited to black and white work. In addition to the fine art paper options, I also offer standard prints on regular resin coated luster paper. However standard RC paper is not archival grade.

These 310 gsm papers have a premium feel in the hand, with a soft, printmaking like surface. They are acid free, internally buffered, and designed for archival use. They also contain no optical brightening agents (OBAs). Brighteners can make papers look whiter under shop lighting, but over time they can fade or cause subtle shifts in tone.

For sketches and watercolour style digital art, I also offer the Canson Infinity, Arches Aquarelle (310 gsm).

Some would label these as giclée prints. I tend to avoid that word because it has been stretched and overused in marketing. In simple terms, these are archival pigment ink prints on cotton rag paper.

At the moment, all prints are made on a CMYK pigment ink printer. That means premium pigment inks, stable long lasting prints and no dye based shortcuts. For most of the work I offer, especially on a matte fine art paper, this combination is more than enough and fits the quieter look I prefer.

If all goes to plan, by the end of January 2026 I will be printing in house on a giclée grade fine art printer that uses up to 12 pigment inks, including a gloss optimiser. The gloss optimiser helps deliver cleaner, more consistent results on smoother glossy and lustre papers, for anyone who prefers a subtle sheen. I still lean towards matte prints for my own walls, but for black and white work I will also offer baryta paper to echo the look and depth of traditional darkroom prints. In Pakistan, very few labs, if any, currently offer fine art giclée printing on baryta paper.

The prints

Here are some of the pieces currently available as prints.

Please note that the images on this site are kept at a lower resolution to help the pages load faster and to discourage misuse. Actual prints may have more detail and subtlety than what you see here.

The Lodge Road Building, Lahore
One of my earliest and my most liked photographs on instagram, made near Old Anarkali. A quiet frame that still seems to speak to people even though that it was taken with a modest camera with certain shortcomings, that I have decided not to alter.

Each of these has its own page with more details and available sizes. This list will grow slowly as more photographs and sketches prove themselves on paper. See: updated list of prints on offer here.

How to order your fine art print

I decided against placing a shopping cart on my website. That felt a bit too commercial for what I am trying to do.

Instead, the process is simple. You select the print you are interested in, with the size already mentioned on its page, and then get in touch with me either via whatsapp, email or my contact form. Payment is via bank transfer or through mobile payment such as JazzCash. I will share the details when you order.
